An In House Developed Pension ERP

Mr. Zahid Khan Kakar, a senior software engineer and currently serving as Deputy Director (P/SA) at WAPDA, has successfully and single-handedly developed the WAPDA Online Pension System (WOPS) — a state-of-the-art Pension ERP solution.

WOPS is a landmark achievement for WAPDA, providing a comprehensive, end-to-end digital platform that automates and streamlines the entire pension management process. It covers key functions such as pension processing, record management, biometric verification, disbursement tracking, and pensioner services — offering transparency, efficiency, and convenience to thousands of WAPDA pensioners.

The WOPS has multiple customized modules designed and developed for each section in Pension Directorate i.e. Fresh Pension Section module, Centralized Pension Disbursement Module, Reimbursement Module, Pension Revision Module, Diary & Dispatch Section integration of SMS API service, Pension Facilitation Center module , are working perfectly for in according with business rules. Every section have their own rights and access levels

What makes WOPS particularly remarkable is that it stands as a unique and pioneering product across Pakistan’s public sector organizations. No other government entity currently has such a complete, tailor-made ERP system exclusively dedicated to pension management.
